La Madeleine - Austin

Both my girlfriend and I found the croissant to be of noticeably lower quality than the one we had bought from Starbucks earlier this week, which was quite disappointing. I ordered a large sandwich called the Chicken Riviera, which was just okay. The bread was extremely hard, almost painful to chew, and the sandwich was assembled very sloppily—avocado was oozing out over the top, and they didn’t even bother to cut the large sandwich in half! What kind of bistro doesn’t cut a large sandwich for you? I had to cut it myself just to eat it. The pre-packaged cookie was fine, though they don’t make those in-house. My iced latte was delicious, I’ll give them that. However, almost everything else about the visit was incredibly disappointing. We decided to give La Madeleine another chance because I was tired of frequently ending up at Starbucks for similar items. After this experience, I won’t make that mistake again, and I urge you to save both your money and your time. The first time my girlfriend and I ate here a couple of months ago, we ordered two coffees and two pastries, and it took 45 minutes for them to arrive. Their slow service has become something of a joke around Cedar Park—many people are aware of how painfully slow and inattentive they are. While we should sympathize with restaurants that lost a lot of staff during COVID, if a business cannot deliver the quality they advertise, they should reconsider their operations.

I am truly impressed by the quality and variety of food and beverages available. I ordered the quiche and soup salad combo, and it exceeded my expectations. Melinda, the general manager, was at the counter, and when I inquired about the sea salt baguettes, I mentioned that I was new to the area. She kindly gave me a loaf of 7-grain bread as a gift. It’s such a warm and welcoming place to dine. The laughter and joy filled the restaurant, making it a refreshing change after the isolation of the past few years!

Everything I've tried here has been delicious. My favorites are the fresh, crunchy croissants, whether enjoyed plain, as almond croissants, or chocolate croissants—they're absolutely amazing! The coconut cake is also a must-try. Plus, the salads are delightful as well.

Thank you so much Lakeline location crew! I called to ask if yall would stay open for me becuase I was driving on the ice and it took me longer to arrive and yall happily did and ms. Melinda was so kind and considerate. I really appreciate yall alwaysmaking my food items with passion for food as well. My cranberry salad and chocolate almond croissants are so yummy right now,on this icy day.. thank you!!! It is noticed each and every time! Thank you for being yall ????

Friendly staff at the pastry counter Monday night around 7. No wait, just walked in and picked out some goodies for dessert. I do recommend them (in moderation). ???? I will be back, I was looking for the Valentine's heart shaped cheesecake.
