Bidrage med feedbackGot the gumbo, it was mostly bones?? I was so confused, I asked for a new serving assuming they made a mistake then they told me no.. we leave the bones in lmao FOR WHATI'm not a dog ?? anyways everything felt gross and my mom was so disappointed in her crawfish. It was watery yet oily. Bruh I'm losing faith in good crawfish boils in austin
I recently had a meal at LA Crawfish in Austin and was disappointed. I have had excellent meals at their other restaurants in the past, so my expectations were high. The food I was served at this location did not meet the usual standard of freshness that I have come to expect from this chain. I am hoping that this was just a one-time occurrence and not a regular problem, as I have always had great experiences at their other branches.
The crawfish at this restaurant are the best I've ever had. The service is excellent, there was no wait, and the beignets were delicious. This is definitely the best crawfish I've ever tasted.
After landing in Austin, renting a car, we immediately set out to find some seafood. When we stumbled upon La Crawfish, I knew we had found the perfect spot. We customized our own boil with a large, juicy lobster tail, a pound of crawfish, a pound of shrimp, double servings of corn and potatoes, and quadruple sausage all cooked in garlic butter and Cajun spices (at a hot spice level). I also couldn't resist trying a bit of gumbo with a margarita to wash it all down. The flavors were absolutely phenomenal, from the delicate lobster to the easily peelable shrimp, fresh corn, hearty sausage, and the rich garlic seasoning. We are already counting down the days until we can return.
Just had to let the owner know there was a very rude employee working the register around 2:30pm on May 14. She needs to learn to keep cool in stressful situations.
