Bidrage med feedbackI don’t see many reviews on wait times during the week so hope this helps a little bit. I came on a Wednesday morning. Pulled up about 9AM and there were only maybe 15 people in line. Sat in my truck and watched the line, it never really got any longer. I jumped out of my truck and got in line about 10:40 and was right there around the 15th in line. By the time they opened the doors at 11 there were maybe 20 people in line. I may have just gotten lucky because they did tell me this was likely their slowest week of the year. Based on my experience, I see no reason to get here 3 hours early. Maybe an hour and a half if you want to be safe. (Again this is a Wednesday morning). Now to the food. I have eaten ALOT of very good bbq this year. Most of the “top 10 in the state”. Franklins is now in my top 3. This is easily the best brisket I’ve ever eaten. Order it moist and let your mind be blown. Ribs were great, just a tad salty but still top 5 I’ve eaten so far. Turkey had excellent flavor and very moist. Regular sausage had excellent flavor and the jalepeno cheese was hands down the best jalepeno cheese sausage I’ve ever had. The beans were very simple, and that’s the way beans should be, they were excellent. Do yourself a favor and go give Franklin a try.
Legendary for a reason. Got in line around 8:30am and was maybe number 40 in line. Got a lawn chair and was under the porch, so the wait wasn't too bad. Probably ended up getting food and around 12n, so expect that wait since the line doesn't move particularly fast, even after the doors open. Brisket was the best I've had and if they've got beef ribs, you just can't pass up the opportunity if you've never had em. Pork ribs were just okay in my opinion. Turkey at bbq joints is one of the gems that you don't expect, and Franklin's was good enough to pass the test but it wasn't anything to write home about. Loved seeing Aaron Franklin making his rounds and greeting customers with his hospitality, things like that make an experience special. Glad to try Franklin's at last!
Best barbecue I’ve ever had and I’ve been to a lot of barbecue places. Can’t wait to go back.
Sheer BBQ perfection. Simply the best. Worth the wait. Believe the hype. Here’s a couple of tips! We arrived about a hour and half early, and some of the benefits are parking(be prepared to look for street parking), being able to sit while waiting and of course the BBQ!!! Speaking of the Bbq, it was simple perfection! The whole experience was amazing!! Every detail was done right, all the way down to the sweet tea! So, what to do after? Walk over to the Texas music museum Vegetarian options: Maybe some of the sides Dietary restrictions: Keto and carnivore Parking: Small lot, street parking which is tricky Kid-friendliness: All the bbq is kid friendly Wheelchair accessibility: Very accessible
The food was amazing ! The service was the true embodiment of southern hospitality. First time here was made feel at home. I can’t say enough about the service and people behind the counter. Including the servers all and all a great experience!
