Bidrage med feedbackGreat place for another kind of theatre experience. I understand why people love it, but personally it's not my favorite. The professionals are that you can order food and it is a cool experience, servers are super friendly and well organized. Screen was ok, the reason I took away 2 stars is mostly because the seats were super tiny compared to other theatres. How literally to touch with person next to me (I am a petty woman) and the seats were not deep at all. If you don't really care about it and are down to get good food and beer, that would be a great place for you.
I love Alamo Drafthouse. For the long hot summer in Austin, TX, I decided to pay for the season pass plus a guest pass. It is a great way to enjoy a few films both new and old in my neighborhood theatre. The Alamo on South Lamar is well maintained and the staff is great. Prices are about what you expect to pay for food and drinks in Austin in 2022. The food is okay not brilliant, but just good. I was disappointed a few times in the popcorn. I think I'll skip the popcorn from now on and just enjoy a limo or a beer and save my food budget for something else in the area.
The best place to watch a movie and enjoy a cold beer! This cinema is very cool, unique and has a really retro vibe. It's very refreshing that it's not like all shelves that are boring. This has really comfortable leather seats with a long table in front of each row, so the waiting staff can place your food and drinks in front of you. It is really nice to see such a great selection of beer and food for a movie! Thank you. I'm sure this is my new favorite theatre!
Actually, this theatre wanted to enjoy how people hype it so much. You have a wide selection of local design beer so that?s great, and the place looks fantastic. Nevertheless, our experience was not great at all. First, the seats are unpleasant. We ordered popcorn and coke (simple) and the waiter forgot our popcorn until halfway the movie when I finally came by and had to remember it. The popcorn was super buttery and didn't even give us napkins. You must have a better system to call the waiters like a button or something. To wait until they come by whenever they do, it is not how you run this type of service. Didn't I even mean? Popcorn, it cost me $8.
Been visiting this location since I moved to Austin in 2011. It's not big for fancy but the staff, food, movies, and overall presentation and experience have always been top notch. I've met Elijah Wood and Ethan Hawke there and one time I forgot my credit card because I sat front row for Tree of Life and got motion sickness and had to leave. They kindly kept my card in the office and returned it to me when I came back later. Good people, solid location.
