The Pie Boss - Aurora

As a Kiwi who has lived in the States for over 20 years, I don't miss my mint or steak pies or sausage rolls. However, I really enjoy this place for the nostalgia it brings from my upbringing.

BestLoved Pie Boss. We stopped by while passing through and had to wait for our food to be prepared. I enjoyed a pleasant conversation with the owner and will definitely make a point to return whenever I can. Although there were no seats due to COVID, the food was still incredibly delicious!

This is the best cake I've ever had! The spicy chicken was incredible, with just the right balance of spices and flavor. I can’t wait to try more of her specialty cakes. The owner was also incredibly friendly.

Having grown up on Swanson's chicken pancakes, I'm always looking for something that will trigger this childhood memory. I know this pack many calories, but that's okay, eat every moment and then, should be okay (that's not my medical opinion, by the way). Another interesting turn is that the owner of South Africa is, whut?! You make cake too?! Apparently they do. Because of the COVID, they only sell frozen cakes for departure, unless you order a baked cake for collection. So we chose a chicken and beef cake and two smaller dessert cakes blueberry and peach. The instructions suggested that we add an eggwash (for chicken and beef puss) on the top of the crust to give it this golden look and that is a big plus. These cakes came out beautifully!! I didn't get the same cream I expected for the chicken cake and the beef cake was filled with beef. The dessert pies were fine, but I would probably order the larger version next time. If I'm ever back in the area, I'll keep the Pie Boss in my head and try the other guys.

Pie Boss has been excellent since they opened. From their spinach feta pie to their special Bunny Chow, you can't go wrong. Filling and delicious!
