Ocean Basket Sandton City

I generally have either calamari and chips or hake and chips at Ocean Basket. It is a hit and miss as it can be fantastic the one day and horrible the next. This time around my calamari hake combo was just right. Perfect affordable quick lunch.

Variety of seafood options... best place in South Africa to have seafood... we had the food from ocean basket many time and always had a great time

Awesome place for sea food. I liked the platter where you get all verities. The best off course was the tiger prawn. Also liked the shell. Nice place.

Lovely atmosphere with good fish. It’s like a hidden little gem in the food court. I like eating here on special occasions, it’s simple good food.

Had a phenomenal meal at Ocean Basket Sandton City tonight. I had the 24 prince prawns with a top up of calamari (I haven't had much of an appetite this week and it came back with a vengeance tonight). My bf had the 10 kings with calamari which he also really enjoyed. <br/ <br/ A big thanks to our waiter Eddie who was on point, he was a bit delayed with bringing our bill (which we didn't notice) and apologised for the delay and explained the reason, which was fully understandable. I just found it refreshing to have that kind of service.<br/ <br/ Overall a 10/10 all round (service, ambiance and food)-we'll definitely be back soon.Greg Cohen
