I visited this restaurant for a birthday dinner and dessert, and everything was fantastic! The service was outstanding. The staff was friendly, helpful, and a joy to talk to. Thank you to the whole team!

We visited Sal Rose last Monday, and it was fantastic to be back after about seven years. They still have the Italian lessons in the restrooms, which is a fun addition! We thoroughly enjoyed both the food and the service during our visit. Our server, Vincento (if I remember his name correctly), was extremely friendly and assisted us with our menu selections while also displaying a wonderful sense of humor. You should definitely think about giving Mr. V a raise—he sang "Happy Birthday" so beautifully! I had the Beef Cheeks, and they were exquisite! We had a delightful evening and can’t wait to return soon. Thank you to everyone!

We ordered takeout for the first time tonight and were thoroughly impressed. We sampled the Calamari Fritti, Arancini, Crocche di Patate, and two main courses: Lasagna and Stuffed Chicken. Everything was ready in no time, and the packaging was top-notch, ensuring our meal stayed safe during the drive home. There was definitely plenty of food for our group of four, and everything was cooked to perfection. The highlight for me was the Pollo alla Capri, which was served with a wonderfully creamy risotto. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!

I've visited Sal Rose on both quieter evenings and several times during their busiest hours. Overall, it's a reliable option for pizza and pasta in the suburbs. While the prices seem to be slowly rising, the portion sizes remain generous. Our friend from Melbourne really loved the pasta, which is quite a compliment. The atmosphere is pleasant, making it a great place for groups. If they can uphold their quality consistently, Sal Rose is sure to succeed!

What a delightful discovery! The authentic Italian cuisine is superb, complemented by an excellent wine selection and outstanding staff. We tried four different main dishes, and each one was delicious. This hidden gem is truly one of the best in Auckland.
