Jack Tar - Auckland New Zealand

I stopped by after dinner to indulge in something sweet, and they were fine with us just coming for dessert. The interior was quite spacious, with distinct areas for dining and the bar. Even though we primarily came for dessert, my friends ordered decaf coffee martinis. I opted for a hot chocolate and a chocolate brownie. The hot chocolate was decent, a bit on the milky side but had a pleasant flavor. The brownie, however, was fantastic, especially when paired with the candy floss on top. It was rich and delicious, complemented perfectly by a side of ice cream. We each tried different desserts and were mostly satisfied. The vanilla square was a bit tough and definitely not what we anticipated. Overall, the food was good, and the staff was quite friendly. It was a nice place, but I can imagine the atmosphere would change if it were full.

Jack Tar is the perfect spot to relax with friends and family in a laid-back open setting, offering stunning views of the viaduct harbor. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy, making it an inviting place to spend time. Despite being busy, the waitstaff are skilled at keeping customers happy, even during peak times. I've visited this restaurant more than five times, and I can confidently say that their BERRY COLADA is a must-try cocktail! Additionally, their Jack's Catch and Prawn Sweet Chilli pizza is simply delicious. If you're looking for a place to catch up with friends in a comfortable environment, I highly recommend Jack Tar. I absolutely loved the food at this place. I expected the typical sports bar menu, but I was pleasantly surprised! I usually don't enjoy sports bars or bistros, but this one really stood out to me.
