Royal Sweets Cafe - Auckland

Bought 6 different samples, one each, of each sweet to try. On reaching home, tried a bit of all samples.They tasted so bad that I had to throw them all away in the bin, as none of them were up to standard. Even the jalebees were very plasticky. After few days I went back to the shop and gave him my feedback. He said They are Bengalee sweets, and you don 't know the taste . I told him that I have spent many years in Calcutta, and I know all about Bengalee sweets. I never visited this outlet again. However, my judgement about the taste of his sweets proved to be correct, the outlet didn 't last too long. Only last week I noticed it has shut shop, and in it 's place the same guy has opened a restaurant.Hope the food in his restaurant is not as bad as his sweets. Wish him luck.

Went to this place several times when it opened because they have something on their menu which I love having but 2 weeks ago, asked for goat pulao and got served one which was off, told wait staff, got replaced by chicken one which was fresh but not pulao this was biryani.....told the wait staff I don't want to eat this but takeaway for husband as I didn't want to eat biryani, rating 0 for service, looks like they don't have heart for anything and that someone is forcibly asking them to keep the shop open

Sweets are ok but rest are crap. Customer service no good. Only shop in the street where u will always find table empty to seat when all near by shops are fully booked out so that's why it scored 1.0 Foods are over priced. few items however are nice.

They do the best jalebi in NZ.highly recommended.very good customer service

The jalebi is amazing and so delicious! You have to try it. Also try the gulab. Even writing this I feel like some. Well worth a visit to the shop.
