Bidrage med feedbackCame in for brunch to this little lovely cafe in Epsom. Ordered corn beef hash cakes and creamy mushroom they’re scrumptious and really filling. Coffee was ok and awesome service !
Raven Cook is a small cafe in Greenwood’s corner with great coffee and brunch available daily. <br/ <br/ There’s a good selection of cabinet cafe food, muffins, scones and slices as well. <br/ <br/ I frequent this cafe as it is close to my house and love their salmon eggs Benedict, they use salmon fillet instead of the packet salmons (the picture is of the vegetarian eggs benny, but it was a bit on the salty side).<br/ <br/ It does get quite hot in the cafe during summer as the kitchen is close to the seating area.
Came to raven for breakfast with a friend, ordered a Chai latte and scrambled eggs on toast with bacon and avocado. The portion size was huge and the food tasted delicious, specially recommend the scrambled eggs and bacon, probably one of the best I have come across in a cafe. It was a wonderful breakfast and looking forward to go back and try other items on the menu.
Read a previous review and had a totally different experience. Went to lunch with two others ,all had great meals, service was very good and very friendly staff. Will definitely go again.Considered an enjoyable experience.
I’ve been going to Raven and Cook since day 1. I love the coffee, counter food and exceptional service. I just wonder if you would consider varying the food choices a bit. I love your salads but just a bit tired now that that is always the same. More importantly for me is the state of the kitchen and back area near the toilet. It looks messy and I saw a wet towel resting in the handwash basin as you walk to the loo. The washing area across from the toilet also looks messy. I don’t mean to be pedantic but overall tidiness hygiene to me and I think is vital for your cafe’s image. Lastly, leave the old tiles on the wall as they are, that is the beauty and quaintness of the whole cafe. It was an old fish and chips shop and the tiles have history. There isn’t a need to adorn the walls with colourful flower art. Minimalism is good too. Good luck.
