On The Border Mexican Grill Cantina Auburn Hills

We had a wonderful experience! We visited after the lunch rush on Father's Day and enjoyed excellent service. The food was outstanding as well. We shared the choose two fajita meal; I ordered the portobello mushroom and vegetables, while my husband chose the steak. Both were cooked to perfection! The freshly made tortillas were a fantastic complement to the meal. The service and food were significantly better compared to our last visit to this On The Border location. Overall, I highly recommend it!

Hadn't been here in quite a while and was pleased to find the food and service is still great! The holiday swirl margarita is delightfully tart and a must try. My salad in my lunch combo was surprisingly big and made for the perfect meal along with my brisket quesadilla.

First time visiting this establishment and have no complaints. Restaurant was nice and clean and I was seated as soon as I got in. My waiter Preston was awesome and on top of everything. I didn't have to finish my first drink before he had a refill sitting there for me. Usually I'm stuck waiting for a while after it is empty before I can wave someone down. So I was very happy with that. Had the Firecracker stuffed Jalapenos as my side and they were great. The main course was the Grande Fajitas and came with more than enough meat and toppings to finish off the 4 fajitas. Everything was nice and hot. And felt like I got my food faster than some wait times at fast food restaurants. Would visit again.

My wife found the Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos to be a bit too spicy for her taste, but I didn't think the Bang Bang Shrimp Appetizer with coleslaw had much heat at all. I'm not criticizing the restaurant here, as everyone's spice tolerance is different. What truly matters is that the food was delicious. Additionally, the staff was friendly and attentive, which makes me eager to return and explore more items on the menu.

I took my daughter out for lunch and unfortunately, we were both disappointed. The salsa was way too spicy for my taste. I ordered the shredded chicken enchilada, but the chicken was unseasoned and I hardly ate more than a quarter of it. It felt like I was just eating a chicken breast wrapped in a fried tortilla. My daughter had chicken tenders and fries, which looked decent, and she didn’t have any complaints about her meal. I have no issues with the waiter; he was attentive and even removed my dish from the bill after I expressed my disappointment, which I appreciated. However, based on this experience, I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place or return.
