Beautiful location right at the water. very relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant that was there got destroyed during Hurricane Sandy so it is not a sit down restaurant any more but for a cocktail it is perfect.
Thank you TripAdvisor for this cool location. Spend a nice and relaxed afternoon there with my wife. She loved the bartender Valerie. They had a nice chat while Valerie was preparing awesome Margaritas for us. As a SNACK we enjoyed cayun shrimp with yummy fresh pineapple coleslaw, juicy crab cakes and chicken tacos. Everything well prepared. Thank you guys. That was way better than all that **** on the strip.
My wife and I visited Scales Grill Deck Bar before going out on an evening boat cruise; Scales is located at the former Flying Cloud location in Gardiner 's Basin, Atlantic City. It was a beautiful summer, Friday night. Parking is not adjacent to Scales, but there is plenty of it. Walking up the Scales I had never seen anything like it before. The bar is basically two 'tricked out ' shipping containers with portions of the walls cut out. The bartenders are inside with a bunch of bar stools around. There are also tables with umbrellas closer to the bulkhead. It has a 'full bar ' with with tap and bottled beers. The Friday night we were there a guy was playing great, live music! Fish Heads food truck is also co-located at this location for delicious seafood tacos, etc. Not 100% positive, but this is probably not the place to go out during inclement weather. Live music. On the water. Great drinks. Life is good!
Perfect place to grab lunch. Great location, right on the water, nice breeze, casual atmosphere, I had the sweetest crab legs, best I have had in quite a while. They were setting up for live music when we left so I would think it is a nice place for an evening bite and a drink or cold beer. We will be back. Another great suggestion from the folks on the TA Forum.
