Overall this was a good visit. It’s very casual and has a fun twist on the menu. Similar to a cafeteria, you order at the counter and then clear your own plates. The potato salad was the best item we tried; it was creamy, tangy, the perfect amount of potato. The rest of the food was ok. Not as good as I was hoping, but I would be back for a casual meal in the future. From what we heard, the cornbread and salmon are the best items on the menu I’d recommend trying those, I wish I had!

This is a neighborhood go-to BBQ spot with generous outdoor seating options, even a Cornhole spot at the back for kids or young-at-heart. Menu is reasonably priced. You cannot go wrong with picking any combination of the sides, our particular favourites are the Brunswick Stew and Collard Greens.

They have a great patio area to sit and eat your food. Not full service, you order in a line and they bring the food out to your table. Some people complained about the added 20% but I kind of expect in now. I ordered the beef brisket sandwich, greens and baked beans. I loved the brisket sandwich, it had great, unique flavor. Also, loved the baked beans- different types of beans included with burnt ends in it! I will be trying to get back there soon. My friend ordered the smoked wings and thought they were pretty good. They have some alcoholic slushie drinks that are worth a try too!

Summary of multiple visits: high quality food, but make sure to check your takeout bags onsite. They forget things a LOT. Visit #1 Oct21 Brisket and sausage were excellent. We got to-go and they gave us the wrong sides, didn't notice until we were home. Visit #2 Nov21 we got salmon and sausage. GREAT but they forgot the fries in our to-go. Checked it on site and had to wait for new fries. Visit #3 Jan22 we got a cubano and salmon. Checked onsite and they forgot the banana pudding, quickly replaced. Very memorably savory sandwich and the salmon was gone in 2 minutes once we got it home.

I stopped by for a smoked turkey plate, and I must say, the chicken was delicious! The baked beans were the best I've ever had, the cornbread was tasty, and the fries were served hot and not greasy at all. I'm deducting stars solely because they add a 20% service charge, so be prepared for a hefty bill. This isn’t a sit-down restaurant with waitstaff; it’s just a BBQ joint. They didn’t even provide silverware. When I asked for some, they told me it was “inside,” so I had to go get it myself. What exactly is this 20% service charge covering? The food is fantastic, but I'm left wondering about the actual service.
