The Captain's Boil - Atlanta

Went to the Woodstock GA location for our daughters 12th birthday. The atmosphere, staff and food was Amazing. The portions were very plentiful. Highly recommend!! Will definitely be back

The restaurant was completely empty, that should 've been the 1st clue to leave. In addition to that, there was no alcohol. But we stayed to be nice and experience another place. The hostess was very nice!!!! That 's probably why we stayed. I believe they only had 3 ppl total working-the cook, hostess and waitress. I 'm not going to say anything negative about the workers no matter what. I 'll start by saying the food actually had a very good taste!!!!! But unlike other seafood boils, there was no extra sauce to dip the seafood in just a little oil left in the bag. Idk what scale they use to measure their pounds but it doesn 't even come close to other seafood places. So I 'd say everything is about half compared to other places, if that. Now, the taste was good, but as soon as I finished my last bite I was looking for the bathroom...thankfully with the restaurant being empty I had it all to myself. I threw my guts up from there to the Chattahoochee river. It was bad. Idk if the seafood was bad or someone did something to our food but you 'll nvr get the chance to disrespect me again. Nope! I 'd rather pay $100 to eat Cheesecake Factory bland food. Then, my girl also had a similar experience about 30 mins after me. Whew....Never again...But I took some marvelous pics, so enjoy it brave souls.

I had high hopes for this new establishment. However I don’t see them lasting long without major improvements and training.

We gave this a try today. Big disappointment. I got the mix and match. Crab legs and mussels. The crab cluster was small, missing a leg and no claw, they charged me 20 bucks for that plus $10 for the mussels. So there is no quality control in the kitchen. We went for a very early dinner so no big rush, there were only 2 other tables with guests. There were several staff standing around, having a great time, laughing and dancing, honestly probably a fun place to work, but the problem was our waitress never checked on us. She brought our food and our bill. That’s it. At those prices I would expect at least a bit more service. Very disappointed.

The only reason why I am not raising it with one star is because the service was good and the place was clean. Otherwise the food was really bad and overpriced- most of it was over cooked. We ordered muscles and the sauce was way over salted, thick and obviously oil, not butter based. Overall, you will be better off going to a fast food place and eat their seafood selection.
