Bidrage med feedbackA fun place to grab a bite and sip a cool one with friends! The namesake of this restaurant is South-westerner, Georgia O 'Keefe, a favorite artist of the owners! I loved the large PENLEY painting of Georgia! This is a favorite dining spot of my son 's. His favorite menu item, and go to, is the Lobster enchiladas, $25 each. He orders two and thinks they 're divine! Personally, I don 't care for them and find the lobster chewy and the enchilada flavorless. Different strokes for different folks as the saying goes. I thoroughly enjoyed the vegetable plate with fried okra, butter beans, field peas, corn on the cob, cornbread, and Mac and cheese! A winner in my book! Service was friendly and quick on this very busy evening at the Georgia Grill!
It's literally been years since I've dined here and it's not skipped a beat. I enjoyed the special of pulled pork burrito and it was packed with flavor. The spicy skinny margarita was on point. The service feels like you're a local regular with people loving on you Southern Style. Make a point to visit next time you're close or just add it to the agenda
Food excellent, prices moderate, space intimate, service great. Stopped here the other night for my sisters birthday. We had a great meal. We had two entrees (lobster and shrimp enchiladas) and some Guac to start. The food was delicious. I would highly recommend. Good portion definitely left full. The space is nice and intimate. Make a reservation just in case. I have come before and they have been closed for a special event and again on another occasion where there was no space and they weren't even taking waitlist names that night. The walls are decorated with lovely Penleys and other art. I don't (personally) see the prices as bad because of the quality of food and portion, but don't come here thinking this is your local mexican for 10 bucks place. Research the menu first.
When making reservations for a recent dinner at Georgia Grille, I came across a review that criticized the restaurant 's lack of traditional Mexican dishes and laughed out loud. I felt compelled to interject my opinion (I know no one asked) to contradict this unfair assessment. Georgia Grille is not a Mexican restaurant. Named after Georgia O 'Keeffe, a painter famous for her bold depiction of New Mexican landscapes, Georgia Grille has been in business for almost three decades a tenure almost unheard of in the restaurant industry. The cuisine is therefore a Southern twist on New Mexican cuisine. At Georgia Grille, there is no enumerated list of endless combinations of tacos, enchiladas, burritos and the like; there 's a curated menu of recipes that long time patrons love and the prices to match. Expect to spend at least $30/person here more if you imbibe in a few of the freshly made margaritas. The real standout menu item that keeps me coming back to Georgia Grille is the shrimp enchilada. Others prefer the variation with lobster. The signature enchilada is a heavenly mixture of cream, red pepper and your choice of crustacean lovingly wrapped in a tortilla and served piping hot and covered in gooey cheese made crunchy under the broiler. I 'm getting excited just typing about it. It 's a decadent dish that I have not found successfully recreated at any other restaurant. With a 30 year legacy in the Atlanta area, Georgia Grille can set its own rules, and it does. It 's only open for dinner, and it 's small. Every time I 've been there, there 's been a big crowd enjoying dinner in the small space, with many people crowded into the small entryway or standing outside in the nondescript shopping center, waiting for a table. So it 's loud. Ideally, the vibrant atmosphere and the top notch guac, salsa and cheese dip will put you in a jovial mood, and the volume won 't detract from an enjoyable dinner experience. But sometimes, the older crowd gets a little too excited from the margaritas and fancy southwestern cuisine and gets a little raucous. The service is friendly but often frenzied and distracted in the hustle and bustle of the popular dining room, and it 's a pain to wait around in the small entryway when reservation times are delayed. But ultimately, I recommend Georgia Grille to any one interested in a casually upscale Mexican cuisine adjacent (but definitely NOT Mexican) dinner with friends and family.
This was fabulous came here late and from out of town, desperate for something to eat and this was so much more than we expected. Chile Relleno was delicious, beautifully fried, and filled with melty cheese. My partner got the chicken quesadilla, which unexpectedly had the chicken stacked on top, rather than in the quesadilla itself, so vegetarian me was able to try the quesadilla (if was good. It's hard to make a bad quesadilla). We split a bowl of the black bean nachos, which were also lovely. Just the right amount of spice. The black beans were seasoned heartily. Two small plates and an appetizer was a good amount of food for two people. Vegetarian options are limited. I'd happily come back.
