Osteria Athena - Athens

I can't comment on the food or service because I will never return to this restaurant. It was closed for a private event. I called the restaurant on September 19, 2023, shortly after noon but got no answer, so I left a voice message. The greeting indicated their regular hours, with no mention of any schedule changes. Their website also displayed the usual hours without any indication of special closures. I called again between 6 and 7 p.m., and again there was no answer, just the same recorded message. It's clear that this establishment is poorly managed and doesn't see the importance of responding to callers or catering to current and future business, including private and large group events. A competent manager or owner in the food industry should know to return all calls promptly.

We love this place! This was my fiancé and I’s first date. We decided to come back a year and a half later and the food has only gotten better! Drew personally welcomed us and checked on our table.We will bring reaching out soon to see if they will cater our wedding.

I’m giving this restaurant a 5 out of 5. My girlfriend and I had a wonderful experience for our 2 year anniversary. It’s a chill atmosphere and the staff are very friendly and don’t mind holding a conversation. The owner even came out to introduce himself. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a cute date with your partner. The menu is small but tasty and the drinks are strong.

If you're looking for a place in Athens that will not impress your date, Osteria is at the top of the list! The prices are simply too high for what you get. While they do offer good drinks and excellent service, the food is nothing special, and you'll be paying at least $20 just to have a lackluster experience. Additionally, the restaurant is excessively dark; without the candles on each table, you'd be eating in complete darkness.
