Dairy Queen - Athens

Ordered 3 blizzards for my staff. The employee gave me the food with ice cream dripping on bottom of cup holder which got all over seat. Didn’t seem to care.

Definitely a landmark of the Athens area. Great service, good food/ice cream, very nice owner.

This Dairy Queen did an INCREDIBLE job. While working with Bible Truth Baptist Church, we brought almost a hundred teens to the area to do mission work, and, of course, they wanted ice cream. The first or second day we were there, we arrived accidentally after closing hours. The staff noticed we were there and actually reopened and served around 20 of us, and with cheerful spirits and great ice cream! They were friendly, even with so many teens and a hyperactive toddler, and they also had choices for those who had dietary restrictions. This place did such a great job, and I hope we can go again some time!

I stopped at this DQ on Sunday, July 17 to get a dipped cone because the app said there was a sale on the cone. The speaker was broken, so I waited to place my order at the window. I waited at least 10 minutes and there was only one car in front of me. When I was able to finally place my order, a cone with chocolate ice cream dipped in butterscotch, the cashier told me that they no longer have the butterscotch dip. Did it say that on the sign by the speaker? NO! So then I ordered the cone dipped in chocolate. Another person came over to the window and said they were out of the chocolate dip and weren't expecting any more until Thursday! Why wasn't that noted on the sign by the speaker? I could have saved myself a long wait. The last time I went to this DQ, I had problems with my order and the worker was very rude. I am done going to the DQ.
