American Deli - Athens

I'm glad I ordered extra fries with my Philly wings combo because there were no fries included in the combo itself. It's frustrating that there's always some issue here. Rating for the food: 4/5.

We visited the restaurant to try their wet lemon pepper wings and the chicken tender sandwich. Unfortunately, the wings were quite small and the wet lemon pepper sauce was excessively salty, which was quite surprising. For the sandwich, I opted for the chicken tenders with hot sauce, but I wouldn't recommend it; it would have been better without the sauce. The sandwich is topped with pickles, onions, lettuce, mustard, and cheese, and the hot sauce only added unnecessary vinegariness. On a positive note, the fries were fantastic—possibly the best I've had in East Athens! Additionally, the staff was very friendly and the service was efficient. They offer a wide variety of menu items, and I will definitely return to try more dishes.

This American Deli location is fantastic! The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. The cooks are also great and always willing to accommodate special requests with the food. The meals are consistently fast, fresh, and hot. I visit so often that I finally felt compelled to leave a review to highlight their hard work, professionalism, and delicious food!

Didn’t even have to eat here to get horrible service. I was picking up a GrubHub order and the woman at the counter was very rude because there was an issue going on. She didn’t offer to help whatsoever and didn’t even smile at me once, I wouldn’t eat here or recommend to anyone.

Me and my husband went to pick up our order and I asked to use the bathroom while he was getting the food they said where it was there was a high chair blocking it because quote it 's only for customers which I was so I moved it and went to the bathroom when I came out they put the high chair back in the way knowing I was in there so I had to move it again to get out and as I was leaving cause my husband already took the food to the car they started complaining I wasn 't a customer so I shouldn 't used there bathroom when I literally just picked up there food just because I didn 't wanna sit down and eat in there restaurant I wasn 't considered a customer that 's was the worst staff ever!
