Off The Hook - Astoria

Stumbled across this place as we were walking home from a run. Saw outdoor seating at a sit-up bar window -- really awesome.

My friend and I decided to try this restaurant last night after seeing some good reviews, but we were disappointed with the "Unlimited Mussels and Fries" night.

Food was amazing! I would definitely recommend the mofongo, I'm not usually a fan but my girlfriend ordered this and I could not stop picking from her

Excellent selection of beers, reliably delicious food and great service. If you don't have a reservation, it's usually easy to secure a spot at the bar for a full dining service. A neighborhood favorite.

Whoa. Yellowtail tasted way too "fishy" and the so-called pastrami shortribs were greasy pastrami. Both were $ 30. Robbery. We gave our feedback to the bartender (we were sitting at the bar) and he made no effort to "get it right". I will not be back. The dining room was nice ... parking was awful in the neighborhood.
