Macoletta - Astoria

This place is absolutely lovely! They have a fantastic jazz selection playing on the speakers. The pizza has a light and delicious crust, and the salad is incredibly fresh. Plus, it's very affordable. We're grateful to the friendly staff for providing such a great dining experience. My partner and I truly enjoyed it.

If you're coming from Randall's Ward Island and you're in Astoria craving pizza, this is the spot to visit. The Margherita pie featured fresh ingredients and had a thin, crispy, and sturdy crust. The mulled wine was a great complement to the meal. This place can easily hold its own against any pizzeria in the five boroughs.

Delicious brick oven pizza that was just what we were craving! I give it four stars because the Caesar salad didn’t live up to expectations, but the pizza more than compensated for it. Food rating: 4/5.

What sets Macolleta apart is that they offer pizza-making classes, along with a pizza bar in the center of the restaurant. The spacious layout provides plenty of seating and a nice shade on the hot day we visited. Our server was a bit slow, despite the restaurant not being overly crowded, which meant we had to wait a little longer to be attended to. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience!

The brick oven pizza here is outstanding! Be sure to check out the oven when you visit; it's quite impressive. The staff is incredibly friendly, and there are options for both indoor and outdoor seating. This is my favorite spot for pizza! Food rating: 5/5.
