Two Farm Girls - ASPENDALE

What a beautifully warm and welcoming cafe! Absolutely delightful service and the quality of the food and coffee was even better. Cannot wait to return for another visit.

I dropped in to Two Farm Girls on Sunday morning, fancying a nice simple but tasty breakfast and coffee. Being solo I didn't want to take up a table, and they pointed me to a stool in the window area, which suited me perfectly. They have a small but eclectic menu, but I wanted something simple. Two poached eggs on toast, with a side of bacon and hash browns, along with a Latte.Coffee arrived, and was smooth and creamy, although not as hot as my taste would prefer. The breakfast followed shortly after, and was beautifully presented. The poached eggs were clearly free range, and were a gorgeous orange yolk, soft and spread across the multigrain toast. Bacon was a bit too fatty for my liking. It meant the three thick slices had the meat stripped from the fat and became small bacon strips. A pity, because it spoilt the combination. The hash brown however was the standout. Don't go thinking McDonalds hash browns here, this was a true hash brown rosti made with shaved potato that was browned crisp on the outside and soft and warm in the centre. Just gorgeous. So, a good breakfast, but sad about the bacon.

A hidden gem but worth the visit! Do rug up in winter as the heating is not great and doors are left open too much because the staff are hot and forget that sitting patrons are inactive. However, the food is excellent and interesting; flavours and ingredients which would not be an obvious combinations make wonderfully tasting meals. Can't recommend enough!

Good service and perfect take away coffee. This place is buzzing and although we only had take away coffee the food looked very tempting.

Have driven past this cafe a hundred times and we finally got there this morning for breakfast!We were not disappointed! A great vibe, gorgeously friendly and accommodating staff, delicious food (with loads of options available), good coffee and fabulous service!I had Smashed Avo on the most delicious bread with a poached egg and Merediths goats cheese and hubby had a slow cooked lamb pot which was quite rich and heavy - which he loved! We arrived around 8:30am on a Sunday and by just after 9:00am the place was full! Be sure to get in early (or book ahead) to get yourself a table and a lovely breakfast experience.The light and bright airy environment added to the 'modern country' look and feel of the place. Worth a visit and we shall be back!
