Locanda Aurora - ASIAGO

I have just been there with my companion and we enjoyed the stay so much that we will be back very soon. Besides, the Asiago highlands need more than a week to visit and discover the many historical and stunning views. As for the Locanda Aurora, the friendly welcome and assistance by Ms.Tamara has been excellent under any rate. Breakfast suites every taste and gives fuel well into the day. Suggestions and care are made available and offered to improve the visit. Definitely, Locanda Aurora deserves more than the 2 stars of its rating.

The restaurant is located outside the town of Asiago and you can easily park your car. The menu is illustrated by Aurora, the owner, and it varies according to the availability of local products. Traditional Cimbrian recipes valorising the local products: mushrooms, herbs, soppressa and the Asiago cheese. Large choice of wines.

Aurora is a warm and gracious host. This family-run locanda was very quaint and inviting. The food was outstanding; very traditional dishes were prepared with care and pride. Everything from the starters to the desserts was delicious. The polenta with tosella and mushrooms was very savory without being overbearing. Really enjoyed the house-made pasta dishes. I'd go out of my way to visit it again. Thank you Aurora and family for a very memorable evening.

I have visited Locanda Aurora on a rainy Sunday and was fascinated by the warm atmosphere I have encountered here .It is an hive for the good food lovers. I have also learnt that the great Italian director Ermanno Olmi has been honoring this hive for a long decade. You feel the difference par excellence. Hakan Batur
