Trails Inn - Ashton

When searching for a breakfast place on our route, my travel companion found this place in a Google search. The menu showed trout with breakfast and we were sold. The meal comes with trout, 2 eggs, 2 pieces toast and hash brown, plus all spices. The trout is the star of this meal. It was the absolute best I ever had. That said, I would recommend skipping the eggs and hash browns that were not very good at all. My eggs were boiled, and the haash-browns smell like they had been boiled with rancid oil. Note that this facility will charge a 15% surcharge because they did not want to increase their menu prices. No pleasant surprise. Also note this is an NRA, Gun-loving, God-fearing, anti-mask place with right-wing propaganda integrated into their decoration.

If you stop here... Do it! We're not sorry! The waiting staff here is AMAZING super attentive and great setting. The food was delicious and good portions. We're so glad we stopped here! The decor is great and really great to see. Great place

We were greeted as soon as we came in and were told to find a clean table and they were right with us. We only sat for a few minutes when our server, Russell came over and took our orders. He was friendly, professional and very fast. Our food came out quickly and our food was hot and delicious. I come here my whole life and this time we had the best food and service!

We were passing through Ashton Idaho on a 14 day trip and Googled places for breakfast near us. The TRAILS INN restaurant popped up and we found it easily just a block off the HWY. It is SUCH a neat place. All kinds of interesting artifacts and art COVER the log cabin architecture. SUPER clean. VERY friendly owners and staff. AND the biggest breakfast ever! Highly recommend making this restaurant a destination for breakfast or lunch!!!
