Bidrage med feedbackJake’s Place offers a charming local vibe that makes you feel right at home. The ribs are absolutely delicious and full of flavor. Wish they were more fall off the bone, but were tasty. The homemade baked beans complement the meal perfectly, adding a delightful touch to the overall dining experience. If you’re looking for a cozy spot with great food, Jake’s Place is definitely worth a visit.
It was my first time having lunch at Jake's. I must admit, the food was great, service very good but, and it's a big but! There were flies all over the windows and tables and we had to chase them from our food. I watched an older couple across from us kill flies on the window with a newspaper. This is disgusting to see when you are eating. It's also a health issue. I could never go back there unless the owners do something to correct this health hazard. I understand it's a little rural, but what is the kitchen like if the seating area is swarming with flies? Please correct this issue so I can return again. Thanks.
Rating would have been higher, but beef brisket was very tough and needed a knife to cut it not good when trying to eat a sandwich.
The staff was wonderful but the food fell flat. The pulled pork was wet and tastless and the bacon on my wife's sandwich was undercooked and flaccid. They did remove her sandwich from the bill but we will not be back.
The waitresses were lovely. First time there for us, never again. The onion rings were tasty but the brisket was very chewy and grisly and mostly inedible and the pulled pork was worse. The bottom of the pork sandwich was impossible to pull off the basket paper. Not good at all.
