The Village Tea Rooms, Headcorn, Kent

I happened to be in Headcorn today and decided to visit the tearooms that I had heard so much about. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly young waitress who invited us to take a seat and offered us drinks while we browsed the menu. The tearooms offer a wide variety of breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. We decided to try the Ham, Egg, and Chips with a baguette. Unfortunately, I was disappointed to find that the ham, which is supposedly a popular choice, was chewy and thick. The eggs and chips were passable but nothing special. The baguette was overbaked and inedible. However, the coffee walnut homemade cake was delicious and paired well with my vanilla milkshake. The staff, including a professional waitress who seemed to be the manager, were all welcoming and made us feel comfortable. Despite the disappointing main course, I would consider returning in the future to try something else.

I visited the restaurant today and the service was delightful. The staff were all very polite and kind, and the service was quick and efficient. However, the food was just okay and could have been better. Despite this, I do plan on returning in the future.

I had a great lunch with a perfect jacket potato about a month ago, but I recently went back twice and was very disappointed with the food. The first time, the jacket potato was severely undercooked and hard. They claimed it was oven-baked, but it was almost raw in some places. Today, I tried the pancakes with a friend and they were extremely thick and heavy. They came with a slice of lemon that had pips that got stuck in our teeth. The sugar pourer they gave us didn't work, and the pancakes tasted like raw batter. Additionally, the orange juice tasted like a cheap supermarket brand. I was very disappointed and I urge the Village Tea Rooms to improve their food quality, as we don't want everyone to go to Costa instead.

Absolutely awful experience I had ordered a hot chocolate drink when it arrived it was just sweet milk on going to pay for it I was told perhaps they dint put enough chocolate in it I was charged full price but had only had 1/3 of it. Will not go back or recommend it

This was our second visit to this Cafe. Both times we have a received a lovely, warm welcome. There was availability both times, no waiting. We were served quickly and the food was very nice. The staff are polite and friendly. I recommend this tea room/cafe. We will return.
