Imperial China - Ashford

We went out as a group of 7 , the food was nice but the service was terrible, the young man was lovely and helpful behind the bar , but the lady that was serving us was rude , kept rolling her eyes and was really slow between courses , I’ve been before and service was great but this time very disappointed .

I am disappointed at how much this place has deteriorated. It used to be fantastic with delicious food at great prices. Unfortunately, like many other businesses, the owners have increased prices while lowering the quality. The staff are impolite and give off an attitude when simple requests are made, such as asking for chopsticks or a drink. The squid was inedible and unpleasant, overcooked and cut into tiny, almost burnt pieces. The other dishes were flavorless, greasy, and overdone. It was a waste of money and I do not plan on returning.

We chose the A La Carte menu as we like the more unusual dishes. The food was excellent and the service was efficient. The Pak Choi in garlic sauce was particularly good.

AVOID.. Heard good reviews so gave it a try.. but truthfully we were disappointed.. 20 minutes for us to collect was great as delivery takes longer .. food standard was like re cooked and over priced.. Will not bother again

We ordered duck and pancakes, but the cucumber served with it was extremely dry. My husband politely asked for a replacement, but the waitress replied that it had been purchased from Tesco that morning and cut upon their return. She asked us what we expected them to do about it. Once again, if it wasn't for my daughter's birthday, I would have left the restaurant. Today's service was terrible, especially when I had wanted everything to be perfect for my daughter's special day. I am very disappointed.
