Well Played Board Game Café

I absolutely love Well Played! They have a stunning setup with clever and fun décor, offering a good variety of table sizes and ample seating. Their library of games is impressive, featuring everything from classic favorites like Monopoly to lesser-known gems. The staff is always friendly and helpful, making an effort to create a welcoming atmosphere for gamers of all levels. I had the opportunity to meet one of the owners during a soft opening event, and it was evident that he is dedicated to providing the best experience possible. The food and drinks were also excellent and beautifully presented. I can't wait to return each time I'm in Asheville!

The staff were incredibly friendly and enthusiastic about explaining the game rules to us. It was clear that they all enjoyed their jobs. We had an affordable family night, complete with a variety of drinks (beer, coffee, and tea) that catered to everyone’s tastes. What a fantastic business model! It truly fosters community connections and provides a welcoming space for all ages.

Now, onto the games—that's where the real delight lies. There's a whole wall of games, and the café has color-coded them to help you quickly find the right level of complexity. They've even highlighted two-player games, making it an excellent spot for a date or a fun outing with a friend. With an all-day pass, you’ll have plenty of time to explore and discover new games to your heart's content!

Great place. We didn't eat but we did get the coffee which had a quality taste. Large selection of games available. Many high quality and popular games too, not just clearance shelf stuff. $7 a person for the entire day to play as much as you want. If you like board games you'll love this place.

My daughter and I had a great time. The staff was friendly and helpful. $10 per person gets you a day pass on the weekend, and the food was good and reasonably priced. We will definitely go back. The best part is that they have games appropriate for every age group. One of the best places in Asheville to spend a few hours.
