Thai Tara - Asheville

We were quite hesitant when we entered because there wasn't a single customer during lunch! Thankfully, we decided to give it a shot. The Tom Yum soup, spring rolls, basil fried rice, and Panang curry were all absolutely amazing. If you're in the Grove area, don't pass up this restaurant. P.S. The customer service was excellent, too!

We've been enjoying Thai food from this family for over 20 years. They are our absolute favorite! We particularly love the satay chicken, mekrob, fresh rolls, and more.

We popped in for lunch and tried three different types of curry. The flavors were delightful without being overly spicy. I appreciated the abundance of vegetables in the green curry, and the protein portion was quite generous. The miso soup served as an appetizer was also enjoyable. My only issue was with the service. It took quite a while to receive our check, and we had to request it several times. Overall, I'd be inclined to return for the food, but I might explore other options in this emerging food scene first.

Had food delivered from Valet Gourmet from Thai Orchid. It was still fresh and delicious! Excellent flavor on the large portion of Pad Thai and the absolute BEST crab rangoons I've ever put in my mouth! The fried rice was just meh... but the crab rangoons Pad Thai stole the show!

We ordered food through Takeout Central(formerly valet gourmet) after a very late night which took about 15 minutes longer than anticipated but soup was hot and food was delicious! Spring rolls were great and the Fried Tofu with an amazing Thai dressing with chopped peanuts along with carrots/cabbage/cilantro on the side. My wife really enjoyed the soup as well! Both entrees were good, veggies seemed fresh and meat was not overcooked/killed for a second time!!! I plan to go back and sit down next time...by far my favorite Thai restaurant in AVL...next best in Pon's way down in South Asheville and I have not tried the brand new brick mortar Little Bee Thai downtown as of yet!
