Bidrage med feedbackVisually, the restaurant is quite the experience. The decor is a vibrant mix of stuffed Minnie Mouse toys, vintage license plates, and old drive-in movie theater speakers. The seating is an eclectic assortment of tables and booths, all contributing to a delightful sense of kitsch. I can confidently call Mama's quirky without sounding like a typical tourist. However, the real surprise came when my burger arrived. The stereotype I'd associated with double burgers flew out the window as I looked at what appeared to be two ½ pound patties, generously dripping with ketchup and cheese, utterly overwhelming the modest buns. I glanced at the burger for a moment while my wife chuckled softly; she had wisely chosen a regular cheeseburger. When I finally dug in, I quickly realized that tackling this burger head-on was a losing battle. It was easier to alternate bites between the top and bottom patties. The meat was genuine, hand-pressed chuck, cooked to medium well, and it reminded my wife of the legendary bar burgers from her childhood in Detroit. The crinkle-cut fries came in handy, giving me an excuse to pause between mouthfuls of the colossal burger, and for that, I am grateful. After some effort, I finally managed to finish the beast and, without a doubt, learned my lesson. If I had the chance to speak with Mama herself, I’m sure she would have said, “I told you so.” Grade: B+ (The prices cater to the blue-collar crowd that makes up most of the clientele.)
Having a personal relationship with the owners, I can confirm their kindness and dedication to helping people tackle mold removal issues.
What an amazing place! The service is quick and friendly, the prices are incredible, and the food is delicious as well! The decor has a charmingly unique vibe. I'm certain I'll be coming back regularly.
