El Que Pasa - Asheville

This is a fantastic local Tex-Mex restaurant. They feature a salsa bar with several excellent choices, and the chips are served with a delicious bean dip. Their menu is quite standard, but if you look closely, you'll find some unique options scattered throughout. One standout dish I've only found here is their corn cake, which is a sweet cornmeal side that accompanies most lunch and some dinner items, and can usually be ordered as an extra. The prices are reasonable, and the restaurant tends to be busy most days and evenings. Additionally, there's a nice bar area that’s somewhat separated from the main dining space, complete with several TVs.

I visit this restaurant for lunch a few times each month and really enjoy their chicken fajita quesadilla. My friends try different tacos, and they always seem pleased with their choices. The service is excellent, and the salsa bar offers a nice variety.

This is an excellent restaurant with a warm and friendly staff. It's a beautiful space that's perfect for family gatherings. The restaurant is spacious, and the food is fantastic.

The food consisted of classic Mexican dishes with generous portions, served on large plates. The restaurant's decor was also really lovely! It was far superior to Taco Bell, and only a dollar or two more expensive. The shredded beef in my dish was juicy and tender. I ordered a meal for $9.99, but noticed it was a dollar more than what was listed on the menu at the entrance. No big deal, but a heads-up would have been appreciated. I also tried the Moscow mule, which was priced a dollar higher than the drink specials sign indicated—what a letdown! On Mondays, the house margarita is $5.75 made with Montezuma tequila. The waitstaff was very friendly and attentive, and the tortilla chips were warm and fresh, not stale at all. Plus, the salsa bar was impressive and well-stocked!

Generous portions and an excellent salsa bar. Everyone was extremely satisfied with their meals. We fed three adults and five children for under $90.
