Excellent location as very easy to get to (1 minute from the A38) and with plenty of interesting places to explore nearby. Good choice of breakfast and my full English was excellent. Staff were all pleasant and helpful. The only (minor) thing that could be improved was that the water pressure in the shower was poor. However, wasn't really important to me and it was easily outweighed by all the positive points. Definitely would recommend. Rooms: 4

Went for dinner on the last night of our holiday. The menu online advertised a tikka cod, with cauliflower gobi, coriander and masala sauce. ... Sounded delicious and the main reason we decided to visit and not eat our last meal at our hotel dartmoor lodge hotel (where the food is outstandingly good) . The cod was not on the menu so one of our party settled for sea bass and the rest of us settled for a mushroom risotto. The sea bass was ok since they kindly swapped the sourdough bread for some veg. The risotto however, was a disaster. Deconstructed and like stodgy porridge swimming in a pungent green herb oil with a few mushrooms, topped off with the obligatory pea shoots. We ate it because we were hungry and it was £17. We are currently back at our our hotel with a plate of chips!! Food drinks: Overpriced and over complicated, yet underwhelming.

We visited this restaurant on a Friday evening and enjoyed a wonderful dining experience. The ambiance was delightful, and the food was exceptional. My partner loved his steak accompanied by vegetable sides, while I found my burger to be fantastic—delicious and satisfying. It was so filling that I couldn't finish it all, just as a proper burger should be!
