The Snailbox - Ashbourne

Have to say didn't know this place existed till last night but I will be back. Fabulous evening from the moment I entered the bar. The staff are friendly and very attentive. The food was lovely and the fillet steak I had was one of the best I've ever eaten. Super spot for an evening meal or a sunday lunch and the view out to the river Boyne is stunning. Looking forward to my next visit.

My family and I have been going to the Snail Box since I was a child. It's a firm family favourite and we always have the most amazing food and the best experience each time we visit. Phillip Stephen are so welcoming the staff are a credit to them. We love coming here and we always get the best treatment and honestly could not recommend it enough. A warm cosy atmosphere and amazing food what more could you want? Highly highly recommend. One of my favourite restaurants.

Had an overnight stay on saturday night we had an amazing time. The rooms at the back of the building are very spacious, clean, fresh with milk and waters and cereals all left in the room : we got the package deal and it is amazing value. Paddy welcomed us right away and the waiting staff and bar staff are all very professional and friendly with one even playing songs in the bar after dinner...highly recommend the food was amazing and big big portions..we will definitely be back and another 5 star review to follow on TripAdvisor.
