I've been to R Bar about a dozen times. The food and cocktails are great. The service here is attentive and friendly without being over bearing. On multiple visits the staff has gone above and beyond my expectations and made special occasions that much better! Highly recommend the crab cake beignets, any dessert offering and the crawfish boils on special occasions. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

August 12, 2023. Layout and atmosphere seemed cool. There 's outdoor and indoor seating. We sat indoors in the main restaurant. Tables are very close together so don 't expect any privacy. However hearing our neighboring tables disappointments just affirms ours as well. My GF had a $55 filet mignon dinner that was not impressive. Cold veggies, stringy, soggy asparagus, and the filet was mediocre at best. I 've had $22 filets that melt in your mouth. The filet here was..well, just ok. Def not a $55 dinner. The table next to us had the filet also and she didn 't touch her plate at all. I had a smoked pastrami po boy. The roll was tough and I kept tearing pieces off to get to the food . There was barely any meat on it. It was loaded with the same shredded lettuce you get at Jersey Mike 's. Just reminded me of a basic $10 sandwich from a deli counter. Nothing great about it at all. Huge disappointment. Especially from a higher end restaurant. Drinks were ok too. Expensive and small. Two drinks each and two entrees. $160 check. Definitely won 't be back.
