Bidrage med feedbackI went there with pretty high expectations, given chef’s previous 3 stars table. On a positive side, beautiful view of Porto Cervo bay and excellent service. On less positive very short and uneven wine list, with most of the bottles not available at more than one or two (so by the end of the diner we have run of of choice). Food-wise, pretty mixed feelings, with some delicious dises (red prawn- avocado is to die for), somme pretty average (lobster pasta were not bad but then nothing to write home about it) and some (lamb, fish soup) well below average. Worth giving another chance to the chef but maybe rather in off season period.
We stumble in to Madai without reservations and they were pretty full. However they found a beautiful table for us with a spectacular view of Porto Cervo. And as a surprise the food was excellent even by italian standards.
We were here to celebrate our marriage. I wanted to surprise my husband and asked a week before by telephone and mail for a nice table and bottle of champagne. They forgot our reservation !!!! And did not even apologize. We decided to stay because all the good restaurants were full. We payed a lot of money. The food was very very bad and the service also. In 35 minutes we finished our two meals and that was it. What an experience, not!! Terrible!
I have nothing more to say than this restaurant is not worth anything- from the wrong table, to the awfuk service.... never the less delayed food and just NEVER AGAIN!
We had a nice dinner on the terrasse. At the first glance, the staff was a bit rough and stressed. Once sat at the table, the atmosphere became better. The sommelier recommended good local wines. We had pasta with blue lobster: delicious. To be recommended.
