5 of us attended la vecchia Costa few days ago and we were taken to the table. Order taken by the waiter and everything was fine till we got the food, my grandson veal milanese was very chewy, and my spaghetti alle vongole it was very well presented and tasty, but after the second bite I found a piece of steal string in my mouth, Very sharp at both ends, about 4 cm long When I handed to our waiter he was very apologetic And he took it to the chef to show him, he never asked me if I wanted a replacement dish, I carry on eating the spaghetti only to find another, I handed it to one of the owners which he explained to me that these pieces of metal came from the metal scourers that they use to scrub the pot and frying pan. The worst came afterwards! They clear all the plate from our table and no one came back to us to ask us if we wanted to carry on with the meal. 30 minutes later I asked for the bill which I paid in full as no discount was not offered, And looked like they were happy for us to go, I personally think that the kitchen staff are not competent in the task of running a busy kitchen!! And very much lack of training from a professional! Looks like The management are keeping their fingers crossed that nobody ends up in hospital.

Staff were polite and friendly and the place is spacious and clean but the food was well below average. The salmon starter was arranged on watery lettuce and the fritto misto is the worst I have had during the 20 years I have been coming to Sardinia, overcooked in old oil with whitebait and prawns tasting off. The grilled fish main was cooked in an inedible oil, the sword fish was mushy. Pizza was average. I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Very good and surprisingly thin pizza! very nice after all those thick and oily ones in other places. these are perfectly light. the quality of the toppings is good which makes it all a good pizza. wood fired. vegetarian options. a nice playing area for kids. and fishes to watch. recommended!
