Bidrage med feedbackCalled in for light lunch. We both had pasta dishes which were well cooked and very tasty. We were the only couple in the restaurant and were sat outside the front door, presumably to attract further trade. The problem is the seating. The chairs are flat solid wood about an inch thick and were very uncomfortable even for the hour that we sat there. I Imagine that it would be impossible to sit for a whole evening without losing the power in your legs!
Went for evening meal. Staff pleasant. Cover charge bread stale. Chefs pasta of the day was meat based but pretty bland. My wife had a meat based salad at €12 which was pretty rubbery. Persuaded to have Sardinian meat starter that was ok. Overall not great and won't go back. Linus where we went the previous night was better and cheaper.
We spent a wonderful fortnight in Cannigione and visited this restaurant seven times. We had lunch twice, and dinner five times. We thoroughly enjoyed each meal we had there. Jamel is a Spaghetteria, so as you would expect the pasta is excellent. We did try the secondi's also, and can highly recommend the Sea Bass, which was one of the best I have ever had. They have a small selection of bottled wine, as well as wine by the jug which are good value and reasonable quality. The waiting staff are very friendly and attentive. Good quality, and excellent value. A typical Italian Spaghetteria.
I visited this restaurant for a late lunch following scuba diving, when I was both hungry and thirsty. I had the Spaghetti Boom Boom, with tomato and prawns. This was delicious and well seasoned. The service was friendly and quick; prices were also reasonable. I would recommend this restaurant for the variety and quality of the pasta dishes.
Having read 7 previous high rated reviews by Italians we looked forward to the meal. Seafood starters was nice. Wife had penne arrabiata which was just ok. I asked for spaghetti with seafood which is around 15 euro, now the waiter suggested crab with that as it was the special for the day so I accepted. My spaghetti was by far the worst we tasted on holiday in fact for as long as I can remember... The was hard work to crack and not that tasty... I gave up... The bill arrived, they charged 25 euro for my main spaghetti, seemed a bit sneaky from the waiter should have told me of the extra 10-12 euro for the crab... Although I also should have asked up front too. They also added an extra 4 euro by mistake (I trust this was a genuine mistake), they apologised. As I say went by the reviews from Italians who know their food. So we were so surprised and disappointed. Try tavola azzurra (blu) instead, far superior at half the price.
