Refuge De Furfande - Arvieux

Very warm welcome, good food, and an exceptional view. Slept in a tent next to the refuge, nice shower heated with solar energy.

We left to make the loop of the hike, we left the parking lot of the Queyron but unfortunately too late in the morning, we went only to the refuge without descending by the chalets. With three children aged 5, 8 and 15, you have to go more tot, this part of the hike being rough enough for children. The course and views are sensational. The visual of the shelter is dazzling. You'll take a full view of the whole walk.

The highest point, in all senses of the term, of our tower of Queyras (GR 58). The Furfande Pass is a pity that we find cars on arrival, but what a reward to get to the shelter and rest on one of the tables with a magnificent panoramic view. The cottage team is both nice and professional. The premises (shower, toilet, dormitories) are well maintained. The food is copyy, organic and we have, at our request, had an excellent vegetarian curry instead of sausages. In short, a must in the region.
