L'ottavo Vizio - ARPINO

WOW ! This has to be the best pasta I have had in a very long time. Just superb, it’s a must to visit!

We have eaten here many times in the past year. The young owners (and staff are very friendly. Prices are more than reasonable and the cantina atmosphere is perfect. While they may not always have the item we look for on the menu, we have never been disappointed. It is a simple family run place that, like most restaurants here, will get busier later in the evening when most local families come to dine. (9 or later . Only open after 7. It does have that damp cantina scent, but the feel makes up for it! Always a pleasure (pollo insalate con yogurt is awesome!

Very friendly service and good food, excellent value for money, the interiors are a bit boring and the restaurant is damp. Very good wines and fish.

We arrived at the restaurant as a large group (maybe 14 or 15 of us) and were warmly welcomed. The menu was relayed using a mixture of our (poor) Italian and the English of the staff in the restaurant. The service was attentive and when the meals arrived they were all excellent. The ingredients were high quality and all the cooking was fresh and to order. Everyone was pleased with their food. Overall the meal was tasty and good value with attentive service that pleased our large party. I'll certainly go back when I'm next in Arpino and would recommend it to anyone visiting.

We just came back to our hotel from this cozy restaurant with big smile on our face. It was definitely one of the experiences that we will always remember. Honestly, we were a bit worried that we made a wrong choice as we saw lots of empty tables when we arrived so we started to guess what was wrong with it; from the interior design stand point the restaurant MAYBE relatively bit ' 'too up market ' for the area, but as soon we checked the menu the price was not that expensive for the ambience that you get and the staff were also very friendly. As soon as the food arrived, all the worried was gone : our starter were excellent (my husband chose prosciutto with some local cheese and i chose cod fish in olive oil and our little one 's fettucini with ragu bolognese was heavenly delicious. My husband and I chose the same main dish which was beef fillet with green pepper sauce, very simple yet so succulent; it was well presented with very high quality of meat. We also love the local wine that they suggested us. Over all, we wouldn 't expect to get such high standard of dinner with such price. It 's surprisingly satisfying! This restaurant is definitely deserved more customers than what we saw tonight (Later on we were told that it was empty because these days exceptionally bad season for them . It is highly recommended. We are really happy with our finding :
