The Italian Store At Westover

Lots of great options to purchase here, The pizza is tasty, but the crust is dense, and it's a bit of a gut bomb and shouldn't be eaten too late if you're over 30 years old. The subs are fantastic, though the ordering process for a custom service is currently done at the cash register, so you can subtly request sweet peppers on half and hot peppers on the other half... or something like that, if that makes sense. It's just awkward to do without a sandwich maker right there to handle your preferences thought I usually just get a pre made sub. That also are a lot of grocery type options to make your own meals, and even pre made meals in the refrigerator case.

Visited this location for the 1st time today. It's alright- but more signage will helpful in locating the deli counter. I usually get the Milano, so eager to bite into an Italian store sub which I remember from Lyon village store was delicious. The sub I got today was about the same but a little dry -could've used more oregano or whatever they use before adding lettuce and tomato. Also, bought a cup of coffee happy to see it was Illy brand but not satisfied with the taste at 12:30 p.m. it was not fresh. If I wasn't in a little bit of a rush I would've asked for a fresh pot to be made. I guess I got lucky because all the employees I encountered were helpful. Also-asked for a custard filled boglini and it was difficult to figure out which 1 it was of the 3 that they offer and ended up with with a plain. No biggie but I did call the store and let them know. FYI-they carry Spumoni and it's very tasty-bought a small container and will return for a larger 1 next time. I parked in front and noticed there's also parking on the side of the building. They also have a few tables outside next to the coffee bar. You'll find more seating on the sidewalk-store front. On a side note- got a couple of surprise glances from patrons inside the store- but that's usual come to find out in N. Arlington if you're not Caucasian (sad but true) and odioso. *No fault or reflection of the business.

So disappointed! I came in at 710pm to order a pizza, and the lady tells me they 're not making anymore pizza tonight! They close at 8pm! They last infront of me got to order her pizza...so I don 't quite understand. There were still people in line behind me as well. My family and I have never been here before and we were really looking forward to trying the pizza. I can 't believe that 's how we were treated. My 3 year old daughter even said that lady was mean to us . Very disappointed!

Incredible shop! Wide variety of new and exciting ingredients and foods (you GOTTA try the homemade pasta). Excellent hot coffee and pizza as well

You could spend an entire afternoon taking in everything they offer. Fresh deli meats, cured meats, amazing Italian subs, fresh pre-made meals like Manicotti, Ravioli, Stuffed shells, etc. Groceries, coffee bar, Gelato bar, bakery (Pignoli cookies, Amazing Cannolis, etc. , beer and wine, pizza, a ton of Italian cheeses, and more!
