Sidekick Bakery - Arlington

We tried their carrot and seasonal cakes and they were all yummy!

I really love Sidekick! It is so fun that Ted's opened this little bakery (attached to the restaurant! as a casual cafe option. I love meeting friends here and have felt safe during the pandemic dining outdoors. They keep their space very clean and follow all protocols. Their food is DELICIOUS and so is their coffee! So many fun options on the menu. Highly recommend!

The most unique bakery items I have encountered and absolutely delish. I recommend the croissants as big as your head!

This restaurant is connected to Teds Bulletin, but has its own separate entrance. The menu offers a variety of options, all displayed beautifully. When we arrived later in the day, there were some empty spots in the display case. The service was a bit impersonal and lacking in warmth, as no one greeted me until my fiancé arrived a few minutes later. The highlight for me was the Ted tarts - yes, Ted is now making homemade pop tarts. I had always associated pop tarts with grocery stores, but these were a delightful surprise. The crust of the Ted tart was like a shortbread cookie, and the filling was not too sweet but very flavorful. The cake was also delicious. I will probably return, and I definitely want to try the croissants next time - they looked fantastic in the display case.

Although Sidekick made a mistake with my order and I had to wait for about 30 minutes today, I still gave them five stars. The manager handled the situation well, and although they need to improve how they handle online orders during busy periods, I appreciate the personal touch in making things right.
