Istanbul Grill - Arlington

During my first visit, we decided to try this restaurant after noticing that it was consistently busy, even though we had dined at a nearby place several times. I struggled with the pronunciation of most menu items, but everything I tasted was fantastic. We began with two appetizers; the only one I recognized was the bread with hummus. I usually have strong feelings about hummus, either loving it or disliking it, but theirs was wonderfully creamy and excellent. The other appetizer was a special recommendation from the staff and wasn’t listed on the menu—it was delicious, though I'm not quite sure how to describe it. For my main course, I had a type of lamb kebab whose name escapes me, but it was very tasty. The staff was incredibly friendly, polite, and attentive. To top off the experience, as we were leaving, the music suddenly turned up, and a belly dancer appeared, which was a delightful surprise. We will definitely be returning!

Awesome food! Everything we tried was delicious. Great vegetarian options too. Wholly recommend going with a group and sharing a lot of different things to find your favorites!! My favorite was EVERYTHING, lol! DO NOT skip the desserts!

The food was great and service very good except the waitress had difficulty smiling (somewhat stiff) ... the waiter had a great sense of humor and comfortable in his job.

I went tonight for the first time, and I will definitely be back. The salmon was amazing and the Turkish tea is so good! The servers were so sweet, absolutely worth the drive to Arlington.

This is undoubtedly one of the best restaurants around. The staff is attentive, the food is exceptional, and the portions are generous. We were pleased with everything from the appetizers to the main course and dessert!
