Arklow Golf Club

The bar and catering facilities were closed on the Wednesday we played which was a pity. The course itself is a good test of golf, particularly for parkland players. Could do with a tidy up around the edge of the fairways...almost impossible to play a ball out of some of it....still would recommend the course for a challenge...and the views are fantastic.

Honestly one of the nicest pro shops in the country so friendly and reasonable in price , once they know your name it almost seems like they know you great course, great facilities and great people, can't speak about this place more highly.

The course is not bad, but not spectacular either. Pros include proper links throughout the course. A few really solid interesting holes. The best views are actually from the clubhouse, but on the course the sea is rarely visible. What is visible are the factories and warehouses around the course. There was a constant beep-beep-beep of trucks backing up to accompany our play. The ducks appear to be quite used to people, they are clearly get fed well by golfers.

Had a fabulous evening here with live music. Everyone was very welcoming with great hospitality. Set in a very lovely location.
