Are y Sem - Argelès-sur-Mer

Today was the third time we have been to this fantastic restaurant. Consistently good. Delicious!!!!!!!

We have been coming to Argles sur Mer for 9 years with the exception of the last 2 yeas because of Covid. Every year we eat at this restaurant which was previously known as Are y Sem . We are a large group of several families, usually 16 people, this year there were two more thanks to two new small members. My husband went to book a table (or two! as we always had done and was advised that we needed to book the day before our meal. He went back to book the day before as requested and was told that we were too many and if we wanted to book we would have to go online, make our choices based on the menu and email our choices for each of the 18 people in advance to ensure that the kitchen had enough supplies. This is a most unusual request at peak season when one would presume the kitchen would be fully supplied on any particular evening, and we had never been asked this before. On this occasion we found the girl who was front of house to be lovely but the manageress was quite dismissive and rude. One of our group who speaks French fluently called as she thought there might be a misunderstanding. However, when she called in and asked did they have space she was told no, that they would not take groups larger than 15 as it was too complicated for the kitchen to manage. She told them that they had been able to accommodate us for many years but regardless they refused , saying that the restraunt was under different management. Whilst I appreciate that we are indeed a large group, our own time was completely wasted with varying different advices. It doesn't speak too well of the new management. They lost a significant number of plates that evening and going forward as we will not be returning here again, either as individual families (of smaller number-we also used to attend in smaller groups or as a whole. Most regrettable.

Visited twice during a family holiday. Beautiful setting outdoors bouncy castle mini golf for kids. Kids meals burger chicken nuggets of very good quality. They should probably say that kids burger comes with cheese though. Duck pork fillet cod mains excellent. Ravioli starter delicious. Deserts lovely also. Bill took 20 minutes to come the first night which was unfortunate. Would highly recommend.

Exceptionally, we ate very well under a weeping tree. welcome to the top. fish and meat there are for all tastes

We were there with family and with our allou and received a great welcome!!! the dishes were well served and above all very very very good !!!! we were installed at a beautiful terrace under a huge tree a really nice decoration. We were from all ages 14 to 70 and all enjoyed the setting and the food! there are for all tastes meat or fish. we were well satisfied at the exit of the restaurant. brief I recommend it because everything was good and done with taste. The service is also very well the staff is in small care and listening! thank you for this beautiful evening in the are y sem
