Cafe Casa Verde - Arequipa

Nice atmosphere to sit and talk. For the price I think the food could be much better, but it's a bit expensive and you don't get so much and it takes time to get it.

We had a good lunch there. The staff is really nice and I bought some beautiful handmade souvenirs (a scarf gloves) They cost 50% less than in other places and the Desighns are much more beautiful. To distribute money there is a contribution to the future...of Peruvian children because: All the revenues of the café are used for the social project Casa Verde. This offers shelter and schooling for children from poor families and offers women the opportunity to earn money by selling their handicrafts. It is definitely worth a visit!

Case Verde is the 'front' for a charity organization working with abused women's children, so it's not just a 'local' Feeling has, but also makes a contribution directly to the work that she 're...doing. There is also a craftsmanship area on the back where money for shopping directly to charity.

I had breakfast there, it was nice, cheap, you don't leave it hungry! They are involved in some projects with children and groups of women in Arequipa, so they have a small store with handmade bags, hats etc. I really recommend it!
