A stunning place to stay, the host Charles, couldn’t have been more welcoming. Very comfortable bed, beautifully decorated, highly recommend and we will definitely be going back. Location is perfect as a stop over if travelling to or from uk, a mile or so from the motorway, east to find. Perfect 10/10 Rooms: Very comfortable, lovely sheets, beautifully decorated. Nice little castle, but very dark room with far too much furniture. Reading lights were missing. The place could become a fantastic gem with a little tidying up inside/outside, and more structure at check in, kitchen and staff. Possibility of charging an electric car at a very expensive rate! What a gem in the Champagne region! We have just returned from 3 nights at Villa Primerose. Room Troyes was very nice with the balcony, double shower and spacious enough for our little one, almost 5 months old. The breakfast is good and the table d'hote is also recommended! Unfortunately, a thoroughly bad experience. First, the host had confused our booking of a double room with another booking of 2 single rooms. Next, upon arrival the host was extremely suspicious of my abilities to park our car. But I've also only had a driver's license for 50 years without an accident... After that, we could not get dinner on the spot, even though the host had said by phone a few hours earlier that we could find out on arrival. With only 5 rooms they should be prepared to cook for everyone at least offer e.g. an omelette if the whole dinner is not available. The room worked, but was very dark and totally cluttered. Very poor lighting. But nice that we could get a room on the ground floor. Mostly good breakfast, but upon check out we were again met with distrust. We had handed in the room key, but had to borrow it again to go to the toilet, as there was no toilet at the restaurant. This then resulted in the host coming running after us because he apparently thought we were going to leave the place with the key! The host didn't believe me when I said that I had stopped charging our electric car after receiving the 40kWh that we had paid for, but absolutely had to wait for a colleague to check it. He obviously couldn't figure that out himself, or he wasn't authorized to do so. My wife went in to hand over the key and pay for 2 glasses of wine, but came out crying because she had been outfoxed by the host. When I complained about this I was threatened with jail and the host wanted to call the police. Fortunately, we managed to get away without suffering physical harm. As other reviews show, we will probably be screwed by the host, but the above is 100% correct.

Wow beautiful Villa! A really small castle. Stayed here 4 nights, had dinner two evenings too and had a great time. Charles is a great host, interested and very passionate about his profession. Gave good recommendations so we spent a few wonderful days in the region. Good starting point to visit the southern champagne region and Troyes. Thanks for your warm welcome! Rooms: 5
