Bidrage med feedbackOMG- I normally try to refrain from using curse words in my reviews- but this place is downright effin ' nasty. And that 's just the food! Don 't even get me started on the cleanliness and service, or rather lack thereof. Took my mother out to lunch here on Monday with my one-year-old son. Requested a highchair. Waiter looked at me like I was speaking Mongolian. Had to point out that rare and exotic thing known as a highchair, which, ya know, most eating establishments have on the premises. Highchair found! Covered in crust, slime and grease. (Note to self: Disinfect the baby ASAP to avoid salmonella poisoning and other fun stuff. $11 for a bowl of frozen slop, probably covered in MSG (actually mos def as mom and I had terrible headache/stomach pain afterward. Seriously, the nasty-a*s frozen meat was enough to make me wanna puke, so I opted for the tofu. But oh-wow-neat! You get to watch some guy swish your food around with sticks on a big, circular grill! Lame. And if I were a hardcore vegetarian I 'd be appalled my veggie dish was touching meat juices. I 'm not though. If a little bacon grease adds some flavor to my tofu, I 'm all about it. But if I WERE, I 'd be pretty grossed out. Speaking of taste. Um, what taste? Bland, bland, bland. Sure, you can douse that chipped bowl of MSG veggies, nasty meat and ramen-type noodles with as many sauces as they have, but that stuff needed SALT. Of course, I had to go find a salt shaker myself as our server apparently didn 't know what service is. Look, being in the service industry is hard. I get it. I tried it for three weeks once and was absolutely awful. But at least I knew how to smile, have a personality and use polite words. It is now Thursday, and both of our bellies have been doing the Funky Monkey since Monday. Thank you, Masaki 's! So, to sum up, if you want a horrific headache and to feel nauseous for a few days, and if you like chipped bowls (which are a no-no as any restaurant worth its salt knows chipped plates are a breeding ground for bacteria , oily tables, dirty floors, subpar service, bland overpriced food- then Masaki 's is your go-to! I 'm posting a picture of my kid a few days after eating here. High fever, lethargic, snotty nose, cough. Of course there 's no possible way to pinpoint for sure he got sick from eating at Masaki 's, but it sure would be interesting if the Health Department took swabs of the highchairs and see what fun could be had in a Petri dish! And pretty sure it wasn 't coincidental all three of us got sick almost immediately after eating here. After dining at Masaki 's (if you can call that dining I felt like I was going to die for three straight days. Sweats, dry heaves, fever, extreme fatigue and shakes. Mom had fun while sitting on the porcelain throne with a puke bag. Again, normally I try to refrain from cussing on this forum, but when my sweet little man falls ill- BLEACH YOUR EFFING HIGHCHAIRS YOU LAZY, NASTY DUMBF*^KS!!!!!
A great different place. Not another pizza or Mexican place. Good fresh food cooked right for a good price. We keep coming back as it it good.
Masaki's is overall a great little place to eat. It actually completely exceeded my expectations. I got a bowl which means they give you a bowl and you walk along a bar that contains three types of noodles, meat, and tons of veggies! It was a very good meal and they even have options for both vegans and vegetarians. And my wonderful experience was topped off with great service and hospitality! (Picture of my awesome bowl below) this place completely deserves all five stars!
I've given this spot two chances, and let me tell you why I wasn't happy. Both times, I had horrible customer service. I get that people have off days, but the waiter and host were pissed off both times I went. The waiter got was ignoring things we asked for, and had a mean attitude the whole time as well. The first time I ordered the noodles, and was not happy with the outcome. The meats were cooked thank goodness, but the veggies were not cooked and were still cold. During this visit my bf and I also ordered the calamari, and I was super confused when y came out because the batter separated from the squid and it was just not good. The second time we went last night) I ordered the bulgogi tritip bento box, and my bf ordered the chicken teriyaki. When the food came out, I was curious about what came in the Fuji apple salad. I don't know what was in it, but it was not good. So I moved on to the meat and it was horrible. It was cooked just fine, but they shouldn't be labeling it as bulgogi. I've had a lot of bulgogi in my life, and this wasn't even close! It tasted like it was just covered in black pepper and that's it. I had to dredge my meat in teriyaki sauce to make it edible. Last but not least the rice was not fresh. I'm Filipino and know the difference between fresh rice and next day rice. I took it home in my to go box just in case to give it a second chance when I got home, but it was so mushy I couldn't eat it. Last thing is the price, this place is expensive for what you get. The restaurant itself is not clean, and the food/service is not good. I would not suggest this place to anyone. This is the first time that I did not leave a tip. I feel guilty but when I think back on it, the food is definitely over prices and the service was horrible. I think management needs to hire new people or better train the staff they have. I don't think I'll ever come back here. :
We ordered the bowl it's a little pricey but you can stuff it with as many veggies, meat , and noodles as you can fit . They also have a variety of sauces I tried the garlic sauce and the sweet sauce both very good flavor ! We also ordered the egg rolls which were a little oily but they had good flavor . I read reviews about bad customer service but I thought everyone was really nice .
