Bidrage med feedbackA total RIP OFF!!! If I can give it a zero star rating, I would. I purchased their spicy beef noodles to-go today and came home to find only 2 pieces of beef stew that is not even larger than 1/2 the size of my thumb. Mind you...this bowl of noodles is $13! When I called Yung Ho to ask if this's a mistake, I was literally told each order of spicy beef noodles come with 2 small pieces of beef stew. Can you believe it??? Not only that, their soup base is way, way too salty!!! I was expecting to enjoy a nice beef broth but only to be disappointed to taste nothing but salty soy bean paste. If you want to spend your money get something decent, DON'T, PLEASE DON'T, patronize Yung Ho Dou Jiang, Arcadia! Go somewhere else!
Always hits the spot for soy milk/twisted cruller/sesame pancake breakfast! We also always get their daikon pastries. Tasty and consistent!
Average Taiwanese breakfast spot for the area. The soy bean milk and fried donuts are fine. But I ordered the intestine blood cake with chitterling noodles and there were literally 4 squares of pork blood. The rest was tofu. They really skimp on the good stuff for that dish. Aside from that, this place is worth a visit if you're in the area and have no desire to travel to the many other Taiwanese breakfast spots.
My mother and I came to this location for breakfast one Sunday. We were the first party to dine in and more started to enter around 11:30 am. There were several customers who ordered to-go. This particular location is very dated! The aesthetic brought me back a few decades. The staff was very friendly with us and the other customers. There was an elderly man who dined alone and they were especially patient with him and his changing demands. As for my mother and me, we had a simple breakfast. We ordered the salty soy milk (comes in a medium bowl), a Chinese donut, pork buns (comes with 6), and a plain soy milk on the side (unsweetened, comes in a cup). Everything was SO GOOD! We were very impressed with the quality, the flavor, everything! We plan to return and try some of their other dishes. I would definitely want the salty soy milk and Chinese donut again. I would maybe skip out on the buns though.
The xiao long bao were misshapen, small, and lacking in juiciness. The turnip cakes lacked flavor and were quite greasy. The onion pancakes and yiu tiao were a bit over-fried. Overall, this is just an average Taiwanese breakfast spot—nothing really stands out about it.
