"The Tavern" at the Fort Tiracol Heritage Hotel

Lovely place for a day outing with family. The drive to this place is through villages and very scenic. Apart from the heritage site where this restaurant is based, the view from the place is to die for. The service however is a little slow but the food covers up for this. It has good indoor and outdoor seating space suiting your purpose of the visit.

Sea side breakfast the next day, a cup of hot cappuccino and the view (still can’t get over it) is a dream to wake up to. A simple yet filling breakfast, we had eggs (a range you can choose from) with bacon and toast with perfectly blended pineapple juice.It was a very simple yet elegant restaurant and so very peaceful – the thing I liked the most. An added bonus to the restaurant and the hotel is their welcoming and dedicated staff. A special shout out to Mr Francis who catered so well, a truly warm and friendly man.it is reasonably priced and a great spot to enjoy a great meal in the midst of nature.

The chef had prepared all the 3 meals which were mouth watering and delicious . sphagetti with clams, fish fillet with red wine reduction thesoup

The gorgeous views are to die for ! No wonder the Maratha admirals, the Portuguese warlords and now the modern tourists want to zealously guard this gem of a place. The Tavern has a very definite European/ Portuguese touch & feel and the chef's dishes, besides being mouth watering are quite exotic. Especially the fish and prawn dishes. Vegetarians have a limited choice but these too are very tasty - alas the usual boring paneer, daal & subzi variety. But the chef will rustle up a nice vegetarian dish if you prompt him and assist him with your recipe. Select the outdoor seats - sea facing ones for a memorable experience.

We read some pretty good reviews about the fort and travelled quite a distance to see it for ourselves. It is the most beautiful place in Goa.The view was spectacular, the food was flavorful and service was top class.A special mention for Francis the restaurant manager. He and his staff were extremely courteous and helpful.A must visit!
