Bidrage med feedbackOK, it's not fine dining but if you fancy a pie this is the place to go. Three of us went in last Friday afternoon, sausage roll chips and beans, steak pie mash and peas and a sandwich (they had no rolls) were all good plus in were home made chips. We even ended up staying for the quiz.
After being in Scott's last year and really enjoying it thought we'd nip in for breakfast. It was terrible. They should have been embarrassed to serve it. We both had the six euro breakfast. We both received half a tinned plum tomato, a teaspoon of beans virtually raw fatty bacon when we asked for well done a vile sausage. He had black pudding I had mushrooms which were slimey I think from a tin. They serve a two euro breakfast and add extra items for 50p and a drink each was 1.50. We could have done that ended up with the same thing bit would have paid 4.50. That was yesterday hubby's been on the sofa all day today with bad guts.
Myself and husband tried here for lunch today and sorry we did after waiting nearly 40 min to give the order the food was not great when it finally came out another half hour later I’d understand if it had been busy but it wasn’t and god love them if it was. my husband ordered the scotch egg that was to come with salad and coleslaw thats on the menu but no just the egg god love the woman serving but she seemed all over the place on a good note do it’s a sun trap if untouchable have alway day to sit and wait
Looked at the menu with excitement. Decided on the steak pie chips and gravy. Steak pie was very thin, very dry and the pastry was like rubber. It was home made but obviously cooked a while ago and microwaved hot to serve. The worst bit was the tiny jug of brown water described as gravy. It bearly covered the small pie never mind the chips. I would have asked for more if it had been gravy rather than water. I wont be going back to try anything else.
Been for drinks, breakfast and Tapas dishes all in 24hr. Really reasonable prices. Excellent staff but the amazing thing about this is the home made food. We both had the 6 Euro breakfast this morning and I asked for my eggs scrambled and fried bread instead of toast which both I got, you could say test past, it was fantastic. We went in for drinks one afternoon just on the off chance, had 3 Tapas dishes with it the grand total of €6 but I did say to our woman it saved you cooking. Excellent staff but the amazing thing about this is the home made food. home made steak pie and other half had homemade corn beef pasty.
