Rainbow Cafe - Antigua Guatemala

Spacious place with many typical dresses, some of which are vegan or can I make vegan (e.g. cube eggs for avocado.) the meals are delicious and fill and the licuados are also delicious. the staff is very friendly and attentive, also with regard to Kovid-19 measures. in the rule they also have events, but these are exposed at the moment. however, the small load with chocolate, coffee, artesanias, used book. remains open.

Came a few times here, had good eating both times. it is always nice to find a place with good vegan options. the potato biscuit soup is amazing, but when I had the Tofu-guide-fry, I was a little disappointed. it was super sweet and could have used some lime or other aromes. Otherwise there are so many gluten-free options and I would definitely recommend more vegans.

I ate twice in rainbow cafe for lunch during my time in antigua and loved this restaurant! they have a great menu and served a lot of delicious Guatemala and international cuisine including many vegetarian and gluten-free options as well. there is also a small used bookshop in the building on the front of the restaurant and a business with local and handmade products (crosses, chocolate, coffee, natural beauty products, postcards and much more.) In the evening they hosted NGO lectures and live music. the seats are located on rustic wooden tables, which are located around a central courtyard. I loved the super chill, comfortable and funky atmosphere here. I ordered the vegetarian tofu stir fry, fresh fruit smoothes, and an salat during my visit and would recommend all these dishes. they were all delicious and tasteful! this small caffe is the perfect place to hang and enjoy a delicious meal in a quiet and relaxed atmosphere. I'll eat here right away when I'm in antigua!

The breakfast at Rainbow is nice and at a good price. I had the Desayuno Chapin which has two eggs scrambled or friend, black beans (that are delicious) fried plantains and tortillas. Comes with delicious Guatemalan coffee and fresh OJ. The prices are pretty good too. Lunch is alright but not as good as the breakfast. The service is super friendly and the atmosphere is lovely as the seating is in an open courtyard/garden.
